Every scent is made with a short list of quality ingredients, chosen for how they perform, not how mysterious they sound on a label. No hiding behind the word “parfum.” No vague blend we can’t explain if you ask.

OUR FOUNDER

Terri Barakat is a fanatical perfume enthusiast, and she means that literally.

Mother of two teenage girls, background in fashion and art, the kind of person who loves food, travel, and life a little too much to sit still. At some point she realized she needed something more creative in her life, and scent was the thing she couldn’t stop coming back to.

So she stopped collecting fragrance and started making it.

Harlowe is what happens when that obsession gets taken seriously, quality ingredients, no filler, nothing hiding behind a vague word on a label. Built to be noticed, made by someone who actually knows what noticing feels like, because she’s spent her whole life chasing it in a bottle.

Terri didn’t set out to build a heritage brand. She set out to build something honest enough to hand to her daughters and say, this is what happens when you take what you love seriously.

OUR INGREDIENTS

Most fragrance houses simply list ingredients under the vague term “parfum” leaving us uncertain about what we are putting on our skin and whether it is truly safe.

We’ve carefully crafted the range with safety, quality, and affordability at the forefront.

Our fragrances are formulated with a base of sugarcane-derived ethanol, allowing the fragrance to develop beautifully on the skin.

They are 100% vegan, free from parabens, phthalates, and synthetic dyes, and using a 25% pure oil base offering a luxurious scent you can trust.

All our fragrances adhere to the strict standards set by the International Fragrance Association (IFRA), which ensure the safe use of fragrance ingredients and blends. These guidelines prohibit or limit any ingredients that could be toxic, carcinogenic, mutagenic, or harmful in any way.

We use a combination of both natural and safe synthetics to create beautiful and unique, long lasting perfumes that will truly set you apart. While natural elements bring depth and character to our fragrances, safe synthetics play a vital role in enhancing performance, stability and sustainability.

Our bottles are meticulously crafted to exude the highest level of quality, from the elegant  glass vessel to the pressurized sprayer and the exquisitely weighted lid. We want you to feel the luxury throughout the experience, a treasure to keep. Our scents are thoughtfully crafted to be gender-neutral, embracing inclusivity and designed to be worn by everyone.

In perfumery, both natural and synthetic ingredients play essential roles in creating a fragrance that’s safe, long-lasting, and expressive.

Natural ingredients like rose, sandalwood, and citrus bring depth and complexity, while high-quality synthetics allow us to replicate rare or endangered materials responsibly, enhance longevity, and maintain consistency from bottle to bottle.

We choose each element carefully, not based on whether it’s natural or synthetic, but on its artistry, safety, and contribution to the final scent.
